Knights Keep from WMS Gaming
Knights Keep slot is a medieval themed online slot game from Williams Interactive Gaming. This particular slot started out in brick and mortar casinos, and was recently redeveloped for suitability for online and mobile gaming. This was one of the slot games that broke the mould when it first came out, due to its pretty unique sideways pyramid reel structure. Knights Keep has a total of 192 paylines, across six reels, which you will not find in other online or brick and mortar video slot.
Knights Keep Graphics
When Knights Keep slot was purely a brick and mortar based sot game, the graphics were good to begin with. WMS gaming has done a great job of transitioning this slot to the online world, and has jazzed it up with high definition 3D graphics, crisp animations and the luscious soundtrack that made the game such a popular hit to begin with. The colours are bright, with the over all background colour being a dark blue with a castle in the background.
The most interesting part of Knights Keep slots graphics is of course the unique reel layout. This is made to look like a tower in a castle hat has fallen in its side. The left hand side of the reels starts with only two symbols, and gets bigger in a pyramid shape to the right ending with a total of seven symbols horizontally. The symbols themselves also colourful and nicely rounded. The reels themselves are a dark scarlet red, lending a feel of royalty to the game.
Knights Keep Slot Symbols
The base symbols in Knights Keep are taken from the deck of cards. However, they are not the usual 9 through to Ace, but are instead the suites themselves, namely Spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds. The rest of the symbols are as you would expect from a medieval themed slot game, with Knights, Kings, Jesters, crowns, sceptres and other royal paraphernalia. These are nicely designed, and have taken well to a life online and in high definition.
Knights Keep Slot Scatters and Free Spins
This being quite an old school slot does not have all the added extras that some of the more modern slot games have. There are no second screen bonus rounds or entertaining cut screen video animations. It does however have a scatter symbol and a free spins round. The Scatter symbols can be found anywhere on the reels.
Finding three four or five scatter symbols will set off the bonus reels and five, twelve or twenty-five paylines that are associated with them. This weird set up is of course due to the pyramid shape of the reels and the odd way that the paylines add up. The game also has a feature that during the Free Spins Round it will randomly change to one symbol, almost like a sticky symbols thing. This of course means that the bonus rounds can potentially hold very big wins for a player who is willing to put in the time.
